The GLSS offers solo sailors the opportunity to compete in singlehanded events from June through September, and we attempt to post the dates and related material early enough so that skippers may plan to participate in them. We do recognize that from time to time, our events may conflict with other sailing opportunities, or that the rigors of everyday life may prevent you from participating in one of our events. There are occassional solo events sponsored by other organizations that may be of interest to solo sailors. Toward that end, we are ardent supporters of singlehanded and short-handed sailing events that are hosted by other organizations, such as the Belmont Yacht Club, the Doublehanded Sailing Association, the Lake Michigan Singlehanded Society, and the Trans Erie Yacht Race. As we receive information on their events, we will post it here in the form of a link that will take you directly to their website.
