The Lake Michigan Solo Scramble Results ~ September 7, 2007 ~
The 2007 Lake Michigan Solo Scramble was canceled due to weather conditions. Extremely strong southerlies of 30 knots with gusts into the 40's and thunderstorms pushed wave heights to an average of 7 feet at the southern Lake Michigan buoy for much of the race - we’ll try it again next year, as scheduling conflicts would not allow the event to be re-scheduled in 2007. Skippers will receive a refund either from PayPal or from race chair Jim McLaren, depending on the payment method used. To those who entered, thanks for supporting the event - we hope to see you and many others for the 2008 event!
